How To Use A Modified Combat Side Stroke to Practice Freestyle Breathing!

This is a video of how to use, what the narrator calls, a modified combat side stroke to practice freestyle breath that is actually relaxed. It is called modified because it is using a single breaststroke kick versus a scissor kick.

I have no idea why the narrator called her side stroke "Combat Side Stroke" but I guess she is allowed to call her side stroke whatever she likes.

What I love most about this video is it shows one of the important aspects of body rotation

  • Keep your shoulders shoulder width
  • Rotate your head with your body during the breath
