Teach Adults How To Swim Not How To Mistrust You
If you are teaching adults to swim you need to remember that there have been a lot of years where there fear of water has been allowed to build up. You should never treat that fear lightly.
Take your time and explain clearly before you do anything with them.
Take as many stages as are necessary in order to get them going.
Never break trust.
Always say what you are going to do and always do what you say.
Getting their head underwater is the hardest part but by no means should you assume that because they can put it underwater they have lost their fear.
Give Lots of praise and encouragement.
Enjoy
